The Hawkers Market is an event I’ve attended since they first opened in 2013!
I remember bumping into the Food Gays (who are now a pretty big deal if you ask me), and Maya of Sugo Sauce who now owns Pazzo Chow (you NEED to check this place out! The food is great!). Hawkers is a place where smaller businesses and people can make a start and get their name out there!
What I’ve always loved about it is that you can try a variety of food from different up and comers. But this isn’t your traditional Hawkers Market!
This year they’re boasting a giant food and music party! There will be constant live DJ’s throughout the evening, a guest speaker – Chef Francisco Migoya giving us the low down on the future of bread, tons of different beers and libation options, over 50 food vendors, and it’ll all be contained within the massive and gorgeous Rocky Mountaineer Station in Vancouver.
Tickets are available at Eventbrite.com
They come in a couple of pricing options all including food or beverages with the option to purchase more tastings at the event!
AND it’s VERY high tech this year, they’ll be using wristbands loaded with tastings you swipe at your desired locations for food! I’m looking forward to trying it out!
