Simple Easter Treats

I’ll admit it!
I’m obsessed with holidays and always go overboard in my purchases. Especially at Easter cause I’m such a sucker for pastels!
Below you’ll find a bunch of simple treat/snack ideas you can make with kids, or for a party, or for a kids party. Choices! I know! I’ve got your back 😉

Final 4
Cookies & Cream Bird Nests

– 3 tbsp butter
– 3 cups marshmallows
– 4 cups chow mein noodles
– 1 cup crushed Oreos
– Mini Eggs (I used the new Chocolate Crunch & Crème flavour)

Melt the marshmallows and butter. Add the dry noodles. Stir in the Oreos. Scoop out mixture and form into “nest” shapes on a baking tray. Refrigerate. Add “eggs” to the nest!

Final 6

Carrot Cake Kisses Stuffed Carrot Cake Muffins

I pulled the recipe from allrecipes.com, but you’ll also need Carrot Cake Kisses (or whatever kind of Kiss you have available).

Once your batter has been poured into the muffin tin insert a kiss inside each one making sure it’s completely hidden by the mix.
Icing isn’t necessary, but if you choose to go all the way just combine 1 part butter, 2 parts cream cheese, 6 parts icing sugar, and a little bit of vanilla. I don’t want to give you specific measurements because I usually just end up using way more cream cheese.
Don’t be afraid to be extra and sprinkle some cinnamon on top!

Final 5

Cupcake M&Ms Cookie Dough

Click here for my recipe and variation ideas.
All I did was add pastel Cupcake M&Ms. He’s so basic!

Final 2

Easter Chocolate Bark

– chocolate to melt
– toppings (I used Peeps, Mini Eggs, and Annie’s Pretzel Bunnies)

Melt the chocolate. Spread onto a parchment paper covered pan. Add toppings and refrigerate. Once cooled, break into pieces and serve!
I melted some white chocolate as well and added food colouring to create a couple of different pastel shades and drizzled them both on the pretzels and the chocolate bark!

Have fun eating these!

HAPPY EASTER!
